Alexander lived on Water & Colden Sts.in Town of Newburgh Plot., David - died, Elizabeth, Jane-Botanist, Alice, David ( His son was Cadwallader D. b. 1769, Lawyer, 1818 Mayor of NYC d. 1834 married to Ann Willett of Flushing) Cadwallader Jr., Lawyer & a Tory was arrested & refused to sign the pledge of association to the colonies. He was tried & jailed for a year. (b. 1722,d. 2-18-1797), who, in 1765, had received upon his marriage to Elizabeth Ellison b.1730, d. 4-24-1789, 500 acres, & he had a house built by L. W. & G. Many Brothers, on Cochecton Tpke. (Route 17K), Coldenham, NY . Later building 4 more houses for his sons (David, Alexander, *Thomas, Cadwallader, Jane, Margaret, Alice - 12 children in all).
